Happy Tuesday.
Hello everyone . how are you all?
The sun is shining and the wind has finally stopped being so chilly, don't get me wrong it's still chilly in the shade but absolutely glorious in the warm spring sunshine.
They say time waits for no-one , well neither do plants. It's potting on time. Some of these little ones need bigger pots.
I just love looking outside and seeing all these quietly growing away.
These are still in the Greenhouse as they still a little tender to go outside and they get covered with fleece at night.
I moved the garden swing seat into our little sitting area, it gets lots of sun in the mornings and is just perfect in the afternoon and evening for hubby to sit , he has to be so careful with his skin and not go out without a hat and sun cream that is factor 50.
I put the new duvet on the bed at the weekend and boy it is lovely and looked as good as i thought it would.
I have been watching the antics of a crazy cat that likes to climb on the roof opposite us. He is up there most days just sitting and watching god knows what , i finally managed to get a pic of him sitting between the chimney pots.My lovely hubby has decided to go a bit old school at the Allotments, just lately he has had awful backache and the doctor seems to think it's his medication affecting him, so he has been told to stop but the backache is still there. The Allotments are very important to us not just food wise but also for mental health. It just makes him feel so good to go and do the work and be out in the open and it gives him time to think things through as well. Weeding is one thing no one likes to do but it is a necessary job.So looking into how to help him do it without his back bothering him we found this.
It's a wheeled hoe and cultivator. The instructions said 30 minutes to put together, nope that didn't happen it took over an hour and numerous curse words. The instructions were not clear and just had the tiniest diagram and all the screw sizes looked exactly the same. How it took anyone 30 minutes i will never know. Still we did it. Iris cannot wait to get it up there and use it.
We are trying an experiment this year. Every year i buy floating plants for our pond and just about every time they fail or go berserk and they die off in the winter and leave a sludgey residue on the bottom. The prices for these are rising year upon year and the amount is getting smaller. I saw a tip on a Facebook post( before i got rid of it) that normal supermarket Watercress will grow and flourish in the pond , apparently you just chuck it in and leave it. Wish me luck with it.
Happy Tuesday everyone i hope you all have a lovely day.
