Last weeks repairs..
Hello all.
It seems that sometimes we have repairs that need doing and they all come at once.
Firstly my washing machine just stopped..no water in and no water out..thing is it was halfway through a wash cycle when it quit on me.Thankfully i do have insurance on it which i would not be without at all.The repair man came the very next day..now that is quick service.He looked at it and found that even though we do maintenance it ,the pump was totally clogged with hair.He cleaned it all out and gave it good going over whilst he was there..its back to normal now thankfully.
Next repair was the bathroom taps..ever since the council put in a new bathroom these flipping things have dripped not just a small one either..they would literally run and then the water went down the tap base and down the pipes and wet the carpet..they have been fixed once and didn't drip for a while but they started again and it wasn't a drip this time..i had a soggy carpet.
I rang the council on Wednesday and another surprise ..the plumber came the next morning..he told me that the taps were no good and replaced them..now i have no dripping,leaking or wet carpet.
A more personal repair..my bra.
We all have a favourite bra..one that you feel comfy in and holds everything together😉..
The hooks at the back have been getting looser and looser until they snapped off..this is were my sewing box full of bits and bobs came in handy.A few years ago i took it upon myself to buy a joblot of sewing items off Ebay..there were lots of things in the box and some i never thought i would use..but i found 2 small cards with hooks and eyes on them.I matched up the size and replaced the hooks..then i made the eyes secure and voila my favourite bra is back .
So 2 biggish repairs and tiny one.
Do you find that sometimes repairs come in 2's or 3's..then nothing for months.
