Made a mistake but it turned out ok..

Well for some strange reason our Kitchen clock got knocked off the wall..it splintered into pieces and glass went all over..hit hubby on the hand on the way down but no serious injury. We were just thankful that the girls weren't under it when it went. I shudder to think what it would have done.
So we need a new one..i was looking on Ebay and spotted a D.I.Y clock..i just had a quick look and bid on it..won it for 99p so i was really pleased.
It arrived in a very long box and i was baffled as to what it was until i opened it..i couldn't believe how big it turned out to be. There was no way it was going to fit on the kitchen wall where my other one was.
In the end we found the only wall it would fit on without major upheaval.
We now have a huge clock on our bedroom wall..that will teach me to read it and check sizes.

Its actually ok..and it is silent running as well.
Have you ever bought something and not checked it first only to be amazed or disappointed by its size?

  3. I have been known to do this on Ap Food. I think I'm ordering two single boxes of cake mix but when it arrives it's 2 cases of cake mixes.
Not always a bad thing to happen but makes storage a bit of a problem sometimes

  5. Yep, I ordered what I thought was a 2.5kg bag of chocolate cake mix from Approved Foods .... it turned out to be a 12.5kg bag!!

I turned it to my advantage though and made lots of chocolate muffins that we sold at car boot sales all through the Summer, and made lots of money :-)
