What a week..

 Hello all, how are you?

Isn't it foggy, how lovely , i do love a foggy morning, not sure about everyone else but i like them.

This has been an extremely busy week for us, our new shed arrived at last, it seems so long since we ordered it yet it was only 2 months.

I spent all morning looking out the living room window waiting for the van to arrive and wouldn't you now it they turned up as i gave up and made a coffee.

I answered the door to lovely fella who simply said " Tiger Sheds" , he was so helpful and gave us some advice on how to treat it such as painting the bottom to protect it from damp before we put it together as we would only have this chance to do it, he was right and we did.

It took us a while to move it and some parts wouldn't fit through the gate so our neighbours kindly let us in their garden so we could pass it over the fence.

We did follow his advice and painted the bottom before we did anything else.

Then it was a matter of assembling it, it weighs a ton and is taller than me and a few times i had to hang on whilst on tiptoes.

We got this far and realised we had gotten the floor the wrong way round as the measurements did not match up, i lost the will to live at this point and had to take it down and start all over again, thankfully our son came to the rescue and i had to go to do lunch.

When i came back out it was done apart from the roof.

It didn't take them long to get that on i helped but i couldn't reach to do much. I guided it.

Simon spent  a morning putting the felt on the roof.

Again i am not tall enough to get pics but hubby has some good ones on his blog.

So over the last  week our time has been spent outside , painting, putting in new glass and admiring it and feeling proud of ourselves for buying it outright and assembling it .

Even on the foggy morning we were out there doing it.

Once we get the second coat on we will move to the inside and get electrics and shelving  sorted.

I have receieved some excellent news from the Council about my complaint they have Upheld it and i have recieved an apology from them and a visit from the Contract Manager who came and apologized in person and also arranged for an electrician to come and put me a new light in and put my smoke alarm back.I now have a strip light that is blinding yet i like it.
He also arranged for the Contractor to come back and do my coving next week , which we will see as i do not trust them at this point even though my complaint was upheld i really don't think they care anymore and just want me to go away. Which i won't.

I want to say a really big thank you to Trudie who gave me advice on how to deal with my complaint , thank you , i was starting to feel hopeless in the situation after being fobbed off for months. Thank you from the bottom of my heart i do appreciate it.

And then to top it off my boiler sprung a leak, the plumber turned up at 9.30pm, poor fella looked worn out, he had a really good look and couldn't find anything wrong so he left at 10pm ,i got up the next morning to more water underneath it. I have to now ring again, i did tell them it wasn't a massive leak and not an emergency but they sent him anyway.
Hubby reckons when my name comes up at the Council they have a panic😅.

So all in all we have been super busy , i have some aches from lifting and carrying things that weigh and absolute ton but i am so pleased with how it all turned out.
Not so pleased with my kitchen but it will get there, it's not the end of the world.

Have a good weekend everyone.
Love Ftm🍂
