Bit of a slow day..

 Hello everyone , how are you today?

I was up earlish today and so was hubby, he is normally still in bed when i get up as he works til very late at night. It was lovely to sit and have breakfast together and just chat about the big day tomorrow and plans were made over cups of tea and toast.

I did my laundry and got it all spun and then popped in the drier as the humidity was 95% at that time. I hoovered whilst hubby nipped out and removed the shading from both green houses , folded them up and put them in storage box ready for next year. I prepped dinner as Fern was collected from work by her brother, today was staff discount day and she had a small list from me and also for herself to get bits and bobs , she came home with armfuls of wrapping paper and gift bags Iris was up and back upstairs in no time as she is currently working on Birthdays gifts and needs time and no interruptions to complete them. I looked around and realised i was alone, everyone was off doing their own things.

I decided to just sit at my dining table and catch up on the blogs i read, i absolutely love to have the time to  read them and learn things and absorb all the goodness they pass along .

I sit with my cuppa and revel in the peace and quiet whilst i can. I managed to read 3 posts on Grandma Donna's blog before my peace was shattered and they all popped up again.Nevermind i will catch up with my faves later on.

It felt chilly out today so i made a lunch that everyone loves, Sausage , mash and veg. It is not often these days that the family is altogether , different hours and shift schedules make it hard at times for us all to sit down together, Today was the day we were all home at the same time.

Everything was eaten and clean plates all round.

I love it when i have no left overs or anything to bin.

Our door curtains have been put up in the hallways. They really do make a difference in keeping the heat in and to be fair it took me about 10 minutes to put them back up. I keep the curtain hooks wrapped up with the curtains so i cannot lose them as i have done before and then bought new ones only to find the old ones just as the new ones arrived , that is typical really though isn't it.

These are a pair so i can just close them together and only open one to answer the door.

The curtain in the back porch has some hibernating Ladybirds on them, i have left them where they are, they are doing no harm.

There were 3 but i can't find it now, it's probably off somewhere else.

After that i was alone again, all gone to do stuff and chill out . So on with the TV and feet up. Tomorrow is going to be hectic i am making the most of the slowness right now. Tonight i am going to have a warm bath ,put my pj's on and watch a film all snuggled up on the sofa. 

I enjoy the slow days as much as the busy days, it gives me time to replenish and relax , kinda reset my battery and energy levels.On these days i update my reading journal and book list, i will check the Pantry and add things to my shopping list . I water all my plants and polish leaves, sounds stupid but a slow day is good for me , i have time to think and plan when it's quiet. The long cold days are coming and we have plenty to keep us busy but i appreciate the days and nights that are slow and unbusy. With how everything is in the world at the moment i think for myself at least that sitting down and really appreciating all i have is an absolute must. I appreciate the fact that i can have a slow day and enjoy the warmth and comfort of my home.
