Just Wow

 Hello everyone , how are you?

Well i am in total shock and almost speechless which if you ask my husband is a total rarity.

After putting in my complaint on Friday i received acknowledgement of it and a message to say it will be investigated ad i will be contacted in due course. I truly was not holding my breath and had in fact put my local Mp's phone number in my mobile all ready to go.

Nothing happened on Monday and i understand that i am not the only person in the world to have a complaint and didn't expect anyone to jump through hoops for me , just admitting the failure would be enough and a date for works to start. 

Tuesday morning as we finished breakfast and were discussing our plans for the day we had a knock at the door and Lo and Behold a Contractor stood there already to start work on our ceilings, gobsmacked is not a word , i honestly thought he was joking. Thankfully our hallway was emptied pretty quickly and he said he would just measure up the kitchen and do it today. Him and his mate were brilliant and got on with it and even hoovered up afterwards. 

Today my kitchen ceiling is done and i was advised to wait a week before painting and that he will be back to do the coving. I thanked him and told him i appreciated it and i really do, it looks 100% better than it did.

The hallway is looking just as good . 

Whilst all this was going on i got an email from the Council telling me the Repairs Manager will be in touch with me. It still seems to me that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If i get no joy with the coving i am going to do it myself and stuff them.

But isn't it amazing how putting in a complaint starts the fireworks and gets things moving. I think that the work will be done before they realize it. 

O and to the troll who read and left a message, Jog on and get a life.

I am one happy bunny right now.
