Hello October..

 Hello everyone , how are you all?

It is finally October the start of the most beautiful seasons. However here i am in linen trousers and a light top , feeling warm and wondering if the weather has the memo that it is supposed to be cooling down, not complaining though i am thoroughly enjoying the last hurrah of the warmth and sunshine, i am pretty sure it will be chilly in no time and then the moaning will start😀 not from me i hasten to add.

This week has been better for us all, i think we are adjusting to not having our little guy here, i do see him out the corner of my eye at times then when i look it's a pair of slippers or the shadows playing tricks on me, i will get used to it just in my own time.

Speaking of the nice days i have taken advantage of it all and gave my outside porch a do over.

It was dark green and kinda looked out of place with the new black door step.

I have to say i absolutely love the Ducks Back Black paint from Cuprinol, it covers almost immediately  and dries really quickly,plus it is water based so washes out the brushes and clothes thankfully.Also it is not too badly priced making it a good purchase in my book.

So here is my porch, take no notice of my masking tape..

I had to hoover out the inside as we had some big spiders hanging around in there and i couldn't face chasing them.

It definitely needs one more coat but that is for tomorrow.

 

My front porch is now a mini Pumpkin Patch, but i give mine away, if you want one help yourself, 2 delivery people have had some and also my neighbour had 2 for her grandchildren. I have some put away for our grandchildren and also Butternut Squashes for everyone.

We were up and at it this morning, i had just got out of bed when our wood delivery arrived bright and early , bet the neighbours were pleased.

We only ordered it yesterday afternoon online, i have to say the company is really good and extremely hard working guys.

This wood is for the new shed base and also new fence posts plus some feather boards for fencing.There is more but i can't remember what they all are ,o yes and some bags of Post Crete, that stuff is brilliant just add water and bingo its done.

Our new storage box base was laid yesterday, not the prettiest but it doesn't need to be, as long as it works.Hubby and son worked together it get it laid.

The rest of the concrete will be done later on, we just need to get this done and the storage box moved ready for the new shed .

It seems at the moment everyday is filled with doing something in the garden , with the weather being like this it does make it easier and we can get jobs done .

Today i have done 3 laundry loads and got it out on the line but i had to bust out the rotary drier as well, bath towels , bedding and work uniforms all blowing about in the sun drying for free which i like. I hoovered and dusted the entire house and opened windows to let the breeze blow through and i am having a cuppa whilst writing this , perfect.
