Bank holiday moving..
Hello everyone , how are you all?
Bank holiday Monday was the day we chose to do the big shed move, we couldn't on the Saturday as it was forecast rain and thunder and we really didn't fancy that, turns out it did not rain. The Sunday was a non starter as we have the big roast and house reset to do , there was no way we would get enough time to do it all and do it properly.
First thing Monday morning we were up and outside working on it before 9. To be fair it took longer to repair it and clean it all up than it did to move.
In it's old spot..
I couldn't believe how big it looked with out all the crap inside it.Roof removed and laid down so it doesn't buckle anymore than it already is.
The base before we fixed the rotten boards.
Lifting it into place was tricky but it fitted like a dream on its new base, we measured and measured it to make sure we had it all correct and thank fully it paid off.
First side up..this one needed new boards. Not bad to do , i did give them a coat of paint before it moved as there is no way we can fit in between the fence and shed to do that.
The back panel was up in quick smart time. You can see how bent it was by the beam in the middle.
Second side up, it slotted in like a dream.
Inside..
We got the roof on and hubby put the ridge capping on,which was a steal on Amazon, everywhere else was so expensive and delivery was later on in the month.
The entire move was done by 1 ish and then we spent the afternoon just making sure it was bolted down and secured to posts, that thing is not going anywhere.
There were some hinkey looking spiders in there, not touching it even if i have gloves on, nope no way.
My lovely hubby is on cloud 9 with it, the move went better than we thought it would, nothing dramatic or unexpected happened.

Today in between the showers we have fixed some rotten boards and put up guttering.
If the weather is good tomorrow then i will paint it, i am thinking 2 coats should so it, if not then 3 but i like painting so it is not a big thing. Our faithful little friend deserted us halfway through and i eventually found him fast asleep in the living room.
I can tell you all we both slept well and had some achy arms the next day. Now we have to just finish it and get on with the other big jobs. And then September arrived, O yes.
My favourite time of year is coming and i cannot wait for those lovely cool clear mornings and slightly cooler days.
The BER months are upon us people.
Take care everyone.Love to you all.
