What a Bloomer..

 Hello everyone , how are you all.

All i can say thank you lord for the cooler weather today. Hubby took advantage of today and baked our bread for the week, the kitchen smelt lovely. He experimented with making a Bloomer loaf and well it certainly did rise and expand a lot.

Needless to say it looks amazing.

Look at the size of it. We haven't had any of it yet but no doubt we will and i am sure it will be delicious.

There really hasn't been a lot going on at home this week. Too hot for hubby to go outside and even more so when he had his Cancer check this week, which kinda went ok. He had to have Cryo -Surgery on his head and face. Hopefully it will be successful and the lesions will die away. His head and face are a bit sore but nothing he can't bear.

As he was on the way to the hospital i was nervously working in the kitchen, i find it helps me settle if i am busy.

I made a huge pot of Carrot soup and 2 kinds of meat balls.

I also cleaned the downstairs and dusted anything i could find just to take my mind of it. I know i wasn't the one going to have it done but i was worried about him.

A nice surprise on Friday morning was the hot air balloon popping up over the houses at the back of us when i opened the blinds. I couldn't turn my phone on fast enough to grab a pic, and in that time it had moved past us and gone up. I did manage this one though as it passed through a cloud.

We finally got the glass delivered and into the green house. I cleaned all the old panels and scraped away bird poo and moss that had grown in the edges.

Our old greenhouse now looks loved all over again.

It is hard to get a picof a greenhouse with glass in as it looks like absolutely nothing is in there between the panles.

Now we have to catch up with the kitchen saga.

I rang them and ended up on hold for about 15 minutes, the male voice invited me to leave a message and a number and they would ring me back the same day to deal my issue.I waited all day and the whole of Friday and guess what i got a big fat NOTHING!!. I am livid and really not a happy person at the moment. I find it disgusting to have to clean it up every morning and constantly keep watch when i am cooking or baking to make sure none of the flakes land on our food. The kitchen smells musty in the mornings not nice to walk into, you open a window to get rid of the smell and the paint starts to fall and occasionally a smattering of plaster dust . YUK!! We have so much to do this year and waiting for the council to come and fix the mess they made is just making me madder plus they haven't even started on the stairs so is that going to take another 3 months to sort. My patience is gone and i will be taking the advice i was given by a lovely commenter. Look out for fireworks .
