What a week.

Hello everyone , how are you all?

Well we survived the heat but barely, bloody awful to be honest. I am not keen on it being over 25c. That is quite enough to ge ton with normal stuff without feeling like a boil in the bag meal about to pop.

Unfortunately our little plants did not like the heat either and as we have moved them all in to the new greenhouse which is situated in a hot spot in the garden, poor things looked crispy and losing the will to live, we did an emergency evacuation on to the gravel and gave them a good shower with the hose. It seemed to perk them up, the temperature in the green house at one pint was over 50, absolutely lot going in there at that temperature.

Our make do and mend kicked in and we came up with water baths for them.

Some old scrap wood , paint and plastic and time and Bingo they are in and doing just fine.

This what they look like all lined and ready to go

We have some Capillary matting to lay in them so the plants can be kept moist, the shading helps but only a little.

I got the fans and air conditioner out the She Shed, gave them a wipe and distributed them among the family to help us keep cooler, the Summer duvets came out the airing cupboard as well. Poor Jack Dog was definitely feeling the heat, he only went out to do his business and the straight back to laying in front of the fan.

We attended my lovely Uncle's funeral on Thursday.  Everyone wore Blue, it was his favourite colour so blue it was, even the undertakers had blue ties on, they were amazing and all women, even the coffin bearers, I thanked them all afterwards. for the wonderful care they took of him.The service was so moving and i cried all the way through. Hymns were sung, Jewish prayers were said for him , beautiful words were spoken by his close friends. I met all of  his friends and colleagues who were as heart broken as me, i was made to feel so welcome by all. My Uncle had paid  in advance for us all to have a Celebration of his life . Drinks , food and good memories to share. I will miss him .

Look at this cheeky chappie Rodney Michael Clarke aged 7. If there is an after place i hope he is with his wife Sally.

Bless you xx

Take care everyone.
Love Ftm💙
