Taking advantage of a wet day..

 Hello everyone , how are you all?

What a total surprise it was this morning when i opened the bedroom curtains to see rain and lots of it, pouring down , great big fat drops of the good stuff.

I love the rain, not being out in it but watching it and knowing it's watering all our little plants and allotment seedlings. We had some really heavy down pours followed by sunshine and then light showers, i don't think an hour passed today with some sort of rain falling.

The planned allotment trip was called off and different plans were made. A stay at home and indoor jobs day.

I decided to bake, i haven't done any in a while and i felt the need to just bake. I got my apron on and away i went. It feels good to do something other than be in the garden. No compost down my nails today.

I made Choc chip cookie bars, brownies, lemon cake  and Jelly pots.

This is one tray of Meatballs . Me and the girls love these, there are some with onion and ones without, i make them quite chunky and we prefer them  that way.I ended up with 3 trays.

Bolognese, i am not sure if i like the new sauce i bought from Asda. I love tomatoes but blimey it was a bit overwhelming and i thought a little bitter but then i am picky apparently. I added a stock pot and also sprinkled some sugar over it, it definitely took away the tartness. I let it simmer for a while then cool and packed in containers.

All prepped and ready for quick lunches.

So i have finally got some treats ready for everyone when they get home form work and need something quick and sweet to get them through until lunch or dinner. The house had a wonderful mix of cakes and bolognese wafting through it. 

If tomorrow is another wet day then i will be book sorting, never thought that these words would ever come out if my mouth but i have too many. I have read nearly all of them ,most will go , the collections will stay, some that i have read and didn't really think much of will definitely be going as will all the old school text books that we no longer need. How ever the bright side is that means i have more room to get more😃.
