Hello May

 

Hello everyone, how are you all?

What beautiful weather we are having, got to make the most of it while it lasts, as you never know what it will be like tomorrow.

We have been basking in the warmth and getting outside and doing all the jobs we needed to do, as unofficial labourer i have painted, screwed, dug and raked the garden this week. For the catch up of what is going on in Flowertot Garden have a look at my hubby's blog.

Here are my pics of the labouring, i have to say that putting together the Green house was a piece of cake and quickly done, however the door was a whole different ball game. Honestly at one point i wanted to quit and do it another day but we persevered and finally realized that yes we had one part upside down and was easily sorted but for the life of us we could not figure out one particular fixing . The instruction booklet is in black and white with no written guide just pictures, thank the lord i am married to a genius and he spotted a groove that looked like it could be what we were missing and it was, God bless that man, totally love him.

It only took us 10 minutes after that and all done. It took us double the time to do one door than the entire Green house.

In between i have made a start on the big clean. getting everything washed and dusted, i have windows open to let in the fresh air to blow through the house.

Throws, cushions and table cloths all on the line and maybe tomorrow a pair of curtains but we will see.

I cleaned the windows and boy you really don't know just how grime ridden they are until you wash them down and bingo the sunshines through.

I have one major plan over the weekend and that is i have to totally empty the kitchen and take everything down also in the hallway , the council are coming on Tuesday to remove my ceilings and put up new ones, major disruption for us all. I understand they have to do it but honestly it is going to be chaos, my lovely hubby has promised that if they ruin my kitchen he will re do it for me same with the hallway.In a way i am glad to have it done as it will make it safer for us but on the other hand i am not looking forward to it at all. I will take pictures of it to let you see how its going.

So my dining room will be storage central and we might be cooped up in the living room for a day as will the dog.

I just hope they get it all done and sorted and leave before tea time or is that wishful thinking.
