Bread and Compost..

Hello everyone , how are you all?

Well we have finally done with this week , a busy one for us.

Not only did we have the Council dropped on us at the last minute but we also got on extremely well with the Green house. It now has glass in it. We only lost one panel in the fitting of it but that is easily replaced.

We laid out all the panels in order and actually got one great apart form the window panel and that stumped us for a few minutes but being married to a genius is always helpful. The instructions didn't help one tiny bit, think they need to re do them in colour not just grey and white , it was very confusing at points. Somehow being old fuddies we managed to get it right and all done. I did a happy dance when the first panel went in.
All the fixings were exact and none left over, they are a bit fiddly and the amount of times we dropped them onto the gravel was a nightmare, they seemed to bounce then blend right in and it took an age to find them, on our hands and knees looking for the darn things.
First panel in and i was so happy, it seems an eternity since we bought it , then put it together and then fitted it to the base.

The sides were done first and we worked our way around and upwards, poor hubby lost feeling and finger nails fitting the clips to hold the glass in, it was so sore to look at and i had to peel his Orange for him as the juice stung his fingers, poor fella.
Look at that absolute beauty, finally got the green house up and running.
I kept looking at it form the dining room window, how cool is that?
Today hubby made bread all morning and i just did the lunch.

We spent time putting all the little bedding plants into their new home. Don't they look cozy?

We have to now more than ever keep an eye on them for drying out, this place in the garden is an area that gets the most sunshine and warmth.

We have the Cold Frames over  there as well.

This bit here is where the other green house is going, the base is already done and we have to make time to empty the old one , remove the glass and move the frame over. Not  a small job by any means, it is one that is necessary for our big garden re do.

As the weather is still chilly at night we cover this lot with fleece to keep them toasty. I do think some people who put their plants and veggies out are being a little daft this time of year, the frosts haven't stopped and yesterdays hail and chilly winds will almost certainly kill of any little things out side.

All in all a busy week, a trip to Aldi squeezed in as well to stock up on tinned food and some how  a new Perfume for me😀 fell into the trolley, i am trying their new range, the one i bought is called Peony Blush it smells heavenly and not overwhelming  as some can be, very light and floral.

In this house it's a thing that if you don't have flour or compost down your nails you have not had a good day😄.

Have a lovely week end everyone.

Love Ftm🌼
