All over the place ..

Hello everyone , how are you?

Thank you so much for the messages i really appreciate them.πŸ’•

Life at Flowertot Mansion goes on and we have been busy.

Hubby and the kiddos have put up a new to us shed at the Allotments and also put in Potatoes and Onions.

We had to buy new Guttering and joins and brackets, cost a small fortune, however it is an investment and we won't have to replace it for years i hope.

I have been keeping myself busy at home. I re-organised my Airing Cupboard, it had gotten messy with all the Winter things just pushed back in, i put a lot back in my Space saver bags and also had some extra Christmas Duvets that the girls no longer want and also some Cushion Covers, they are going to my Fionna.

Nice to know they will be going to a lovely home and be used.

I used up left over bacon for a Fried breakfast for me and hubby over the Bank Holidays. We don't have them often and it was truly delicious.

Hubby and i have been working on the house projects, we had to wait for the concrete floor we put down to dry out as we put down some Sealant and then had to wait 2 weeks for it to set properly. So we had to walk the plank all over again.

Before

After

I can't believe just how good and fresh it looks. We are going to do the back Pantry as well so it all flows through and will look like part of the Kitchen. The plan is to also do the front Hallway at some point .But at the moment it is one step at a time.
We have been in the garden doing bits and bobs as well. We put together the new Greenhouse Frame, very fiddly, i did have to abandon it and leave poor Simon to it as we had a Gas Boiler Inspection, it passed and so did our Oven .
Thankfully every part is labelled.
Our garden at times looks like a builders yard but it is only temporary.

I had an afternoon out shopping with the girls, we went all over and enjoyed ourselves, the girls had a route planned out and we ended up in the Antique shop, where they got some bargains for themselves, Jewellery for Iris and some collectable Pokemon Cards for Fern. I saw an absolute ton of stuff that i really liked but i always have that thing in the back of my mind ,would i use it and where would i put it?
I did give in and buy a gorgeous vintage Tupperware bowl with a lid and Silver Serving Spoon.

I have quite a few Tupperware bits and i love them, they don't break easily which is a godsend when you drop them.
The Spoon is lovely i almost pushed past folks to get it, i remember my granny had one similar to this but much bigger and she used it for just about everything from baking to serving dinner.

I will go back as they had a huge stock of them and i would like a few more but i will buy them one at a time.
I made my own Marinade for Rotisserie Chicken this week. I have learnt from the past that for us it is better to do a tester batch to see if everyone likes it before i go and just do a huge amount and no one will eat  it. If 4 out of 5 like it  then it's a go but 2 out of 5 is not so good.
I just did a Breast and sliced it up so we could all have some and wow 5 out of 5 for that , it will be a new addition to the menu for us.
I think tester batches are the way to try new things that i might want to cook , i once did Honeyed Chicken and i was the only one that ate that lunch time as everyone else thought it was too Honey tasting, so from then i do small different things to just see if it's worth it.

As it is Spring Cleaning Season i bought myself a new little Window Cleaning Kit. I enjoy doing this as i do love to see them sparkling . I bought it off Amazon but the company is a small British one, so far so good, easy to use and clean and store away.

Just look how clean it is, this window was caked up, with rain marks and for some reason it also on the Pigeon Bombing run..splattered  at times. I use warm water with White Vinegar and a little spot of Fairy .

So that's me done for now.
Have a wonderful weekend and take care.
Love Ftm🌼
