Spring is coming..

 Hello everyone,how are you all?

This week has been so good, some absolutely gorgeous weather, sunny skies and a hint of warmth on the breeze. I have had laundry out drying and also hubby and the kiddos went to the Allotments for the first time this year. Check out his latest blog post .

He did bring home a bucket full of overwintered Brussels.

They have been blanched and frozen .

I have been Jam making again, this time i put it in the lovely jars my Uncle brought over on his visit. 

Don't they look pretty, i cannot wait until my Pantry is full of these,looking cute on the shelf.

I wore my new apron, i received this from The People Postcode Lottery as a gift. All i can say is "i do love me an Apron with pockets"

It's gorgeous and the strap is adjustable so i don't have it trailing on the floor or around my ankles.

I baked a cake because it was a lovely day and i felt like a Sponge cake.

I took a walk around the garden and to my delight i found Frog Spawn in the pond.

The Daffodils are flowering

Fruit trees are budding out 

Our Silver Birch trees are loading up with Catkins.

All in all it has been a good week. Yet today we get up and it's been quite miserable and chilly but never mind it will get better.

On the rug front ..i have returned it and got a refund so now i will be getting another but the correct size this time.

I have seen the Sparrow hawk on a roof top opposite our house also a couple of Red Kites swooping and being harrassed by the Crows. This morning i heard Geese flying over but it was too cloudy to see them and then to my surprise i saw an actual Swan flying over the garden..i did a double take but yep it was definitely a Swan. My gosh it was huge but majestic and such a privilege to see it.

So that was my week along with the normal stuff, cooking and cleaning and doing the odd job that needed doing.
