February..

Hello everyone , how are you.

Well here we are in the second month of the year ,February is most welcome. It is definitely getting lighter earlier in the mornings and the nights are starting to draw out longer each week. All this means Spring is just around the corner, i know we are bound to have some crappy weather thrown at us in the next month or so but i already have little Daffodils starting to pop up and my trees are budding up ready to pop at the first sign of warmer weather.
I was up early this morning and had a lovely Moon view. My camera is not that great on my phone but believe me it was much better than the picture looks. I had almost done all the laundry before anyone else got up, i do love the early mornings for some peace and time to think and put down little ideas in my book, some come to fruition and some are really just pipe dreams. My son was  at work early today so we had a chat and off he went, big as he is i still wave to him as he drives off.

Plans for this month include 2 birthdays, so it's gifts and cards for them plus a cake of their choosing and fingers crossed people we can get on with our garden change around, every time we think about doing something it bloody rains and just soaks everywhere all over again. It is depressing and soul sucking but that is what we have to deal with, it is not going to be long before we can do it , it's just the meantime that is so frustratingly hard.

My kitchen flooring is ruined in one corner under the washing machine thanks to a leak, the tiles are coming up and we have started to replace it all, i mean all of it, from the downstairs toilet through the porch and into the kitchen.
It looks so nice and clean, much better than the grey carpet tiles .
This is the porch during..
And this is after

I just can't get over the difference it makes.
Now its the big job next, the kitchen.

Today is Sunday Dinner, i know that not everyone has a Sunday Dinner but i think it our family thing that we have one no matter what, i can count on one hand the amount of times we haven't , and that was down to illness or i was actively giving birth on that day.
The veggies on our plates are all home grown apart from the Peas and there is no way we would be able to grow the amount we eat, we would need field to keep up.
You just can't beat a Sunday Roast, any left overs are used on Mondays and the meat is used in sandwiches or just cold the next day with mash and gravy.

What a way to start the new month with good meal cooked by a lovely hubby.

What plans do any of you have for this month?
We are going to try and have a no spend month, apart from the 2 gifts i am hoping to not spend anything extra just groceries, o i do have one thing and that is a ton of gravel but the money is set aside for that.

Have a lovely day everyone.
Take care
Ftm🌼
