Happy New Year 2026

 Hello everyone , how are you all on this the very first day of the year?

Now is the time to plan , we have some plans penciled in and some definitely in marker pen. No resolutions for me , i will just keep on being myself and if certain folks don't like it well  then sunshine just suck it up and watch me glow.

We had a wonderful Christmas , thoughtful gifts that made us cry with joy and also some practical ones that may seem boring but they were needed. 

Boxing day was spent at our daughter's home with all the gang there, lovely, very cozy and also reconnecting with everyone over family stories and also new ones , just eating good food and enjoying all the company. Thank you Fionna for hosting us all.

We have had some gorgeous picky tea's but we are all fooded out now, we had a normal dinner on Monday and i longed for a Curry with rice which is what i made.

We sliced the Beef joint  and had some delicious cobs and salad for tea.

Also the Christmas ham got sliced and that is so good with chips and beans.

Picky tea one..we did an Iceland shop just before Christmas and treated ourselves to some nice bits and bobs, not everyone is a fan but i tried to get something that everyone would eat. 

We have started our New Year with exceptional news , hubby had his Skin Cancer Check up yesterday and got the OK. Brilliant news to start a year.

Our decorations will be taken down in the day or so and put away for the end of the year. I have also been sat just looking at my living room and thinking of possible ways to make it look bigger, moving books and plants is one option, i also have my eye on a new rug, one that can be washed and is not fluffy. I have to admit i am looking forward to having a darn good clean up, i have let it all slide over the last week as who really wants to hoover up and dust when there are films to watch and chocolate to eat. I had a go on the new Switch2 that Fern got for Christmas and Wow it's amazing but i had to stop after about 30 minutes i felt sick, travel sick, it took me all afternoon to feel right, thing is i was winning and kicking butt all over, typical.

We also have a new family member.

Meet Eddy..a lovely little rescue kitten that my daughter Fionna and her family have adopted. He seems to be settling in and is one very much loved little fella.
