Christmas week

 Hello everyone , how are you ?

This is the week that we have all been planning for. The combination of shopping for gifts and definitely over stocking the freezer, yet we love it all.

The week seems to have just whizzed past , not fast enough for hubby and the kiddos that are at work but for Iris and myself there just does not seem to be enough time. We have baked, cleaned and posted cards, cooked meals and prepped for the big day. All our hard work through out the year is paying off,my freezer is full of veg and all the delightful things i made from it all, fruit has been jammed and also put into pies and crumbles, so satisfying to have my freezer full of goodies,ready to see us through the Winter and beyond.

My food order arrived and we spent time sorting it out and then putting it away, nothing was missing and we got and upgraded Yule Log delicious. We have meals planned and also some movies sorted that we all want to watch but don't have time to sit as a family in the afternoons to watch, popcorn and marshmallows at the ready.

I have sorted my Christmas Stash box and put them in the Pantry , not too much but enough to treat ourselves if we fancy it. 

I did receive an early gift from Iris as she didn't want it to get squashed or crumpled , I absolutely love it and i will be framing it and putting it up.

This is what i asked for an original water colour by Iris. My picture probably doesn't do it justice but believe me it's gorgeous.

I am looking forward to the next week, relaxing , chilling , stuffing my face and of course giving the gifts which for me is the best part of it all. I love to see the joy and surprise on the faces of the people i love most.
