Cold Snap..

 Hello everyone, how are you all?

The weather has took a turn for the chillier today.

The wind is coming from the North and gusty, clouds whizzing by and leaves being blown every which way. Not a lot to do today, all caught up again so i am going to have a slow day. I like to have a slow day now and again to just take time to reflect on things and catch up with anything i am currently watching or reading. I am going to stay home and stay warm on the sofa. I have all my throws and big jumpers at the ready for this reason. It's a Hot Chocolate day i think.

Yesterday i sorted out all the board games and some old toys plus a doll house and all the furniture that to be fair no one but me has even glanced at for years. I am donating them to a local Charity called The King's School Toy Bank and they deliver all the gifts to people who need them for Christmas. I would rather do that than donate to a Charity Shop who get it for free and charge the earth to people who can't afford it. I have a rather nice pile all boxed up ready to be collected on Monday evening.

Hubby is making Subs today. We all loved them last week so much so that they have all gone and he has to make more. They are so light and fluffy ,just perfect for a nice little snack .

We have had the heating on and my door curtains have helped a great deal. I love my house but it is a little draughty in the winter months and could do with some upgrades but the council always suck in their teeth and shake their heads.I will wait til next year and ask again, new front door would help massively but apparently putting some sealant on it fixed it, Not.

Look at my beautiful door curtain. It has certainly stopped any cold from the kitchen coming through and i don't feel like i am just throwing money at British Gas when i have my heating on.

It has snowed a little here but it didn't settle. Isn't it weird that when you were little snow always meant fun and snowmen and sledging, now as a grown up it means working out the best way to work and making sure you have enough De-Icer for the car in the mornings, but that little kid inside me always gets excited when i see snowfall.

Our little Karcher window cleaner is working overtime on getting rid of the condensation on the windows. The De-Humidifiers are on and clearing them as well. 

I have done filling and warm dinners for everyone, Mince in gravy with mash and Yorky puds delicious. Meatballs and veggies, Sausage, chips and beans. No leftovers which is a good sign.

Today is a clear bright day morning but absolutely freezing outside, the pond has a layer of ice on the top and won't melt until the sun comes round later on but then it will re freeze almost immediately . The fish are at the bottom of the pond just moving when they feel like it. 

Hubby has to wrap up with only his eyes visible to get to work and back and then jump into a nice warm bath when he gets home.

Lets all hope this cold snap ends soon and we have some milder weather.
