Autumn Decor..
Hello everyone , how are you?
The weather has decided to play nice and give us some warmth and a light breeze, much better than the weekend where we put away the garden in case we got the very high winds, we didn't thankfully but we got the torrential rain instead. So i have been catching up with the laundry and tidying up around the garden and doing some weeding here and there.
I have been so good and waited until the 15th of this month to put out my little Autumn bits and bobs. I don't have the budget to go mad like some folks do but i am steadily building my little stash every year . I will buy one or two bits and then wait until they are on sale at the end of season and add to it.
Autumn is my one of favourite times of year , the colours , the dark nights and cozy times on the sofa and just that feeling of all the hard work we have put in through out the year is now paying off and we can relax a little. Almost all the veggies are safely stored away and jams and pickles have been made and those jobs we had on our list have almost been completed before the weather turns too bad to even venture outside. Don't worry though we still have plenty of sunshine filled days left with some nice weather to come which will help us get it done. It feels like the start of a slow wind down .
I spent a little while decorating and making the house look Autumny if that's a word i don't know .
New this year is the mug and also the table runner, but it's not actually a table runner . I went to The Range and found this long length of fabric for £2.99 and thought it would be perfect for the table, i did look at the table runners but they were a fiver or more and i didn't have that much money in my purse for one . I think the fabric look awesome.
I also have my door plaque up .
My lovely daughter Fern is making me some Pumpkin coasters fort he table as well.
Similar to this.
So that is my Autumn Decor, it's not a lot compared to some and it will grow over time no doubt but for now it's enough for me, gives that little vibe i am looking to create not too much but not over the top either , i think that at times you can go too mad and it ends up looking like a B&M section, plus the money it costs as well if you try to keep up with the trends. I love what i have and am grateful i could afford it a bit at a time.
