Homemade.
Hello everyone, how are you all?
It's beginning to look a lot like Autumn today, cloudy sky and a brisk wind whipping the trees about, i have had a few leaves whiz past the window but they are few and far between.
This has been a good week for making our own food. Hubby made bread rolls and our house smelt of bread for hours, wafting through the hallway and upstairs it smelt so good and made my tummy rumble just thinking about it. Now my husband makes the bread in our house , he is so good at it and patient, also he has big hands that i think help with the kneading and mixing it all up , i have no patience and little hands and get into a right mess just trying to sort it all out. Plus i hate scraping dough from under my nails and just having sticky bits all over, i love baking but bread is just not for me.
I can't compete with him so he does it and as a bonus he cleans it all up as well.
These are enough for us for the week. He will make a loaf or two as well if he has time which we slice and freeze for toast.
These were very nice and as the recipe suggests i used 1/4 cup of mixture per pancake ,so they ended up a little bigger but no one complained. We had homemade meatballs for dinner ,so easy to make but i did add some mixed herbs and some liked them and some didn't so next time i will divide the mix and do half and half.
Doesn't it look good, i love corn and will eat it on it's own with a little butter on top. This year we thought we had bought baby corn seeds, no we got the wrong ones and they are normal size corn but with mini kernels. Never mind i bet they will be just as good, next year we must study the packets a little better or put our glasses on to read the small print.
