Hello June..
Hello everyone, how are you?
Can you believe it's half way through the year already, soon be Christmas ๐.
Last month my lovely hubby went for his 4 monthly Skin Cancer check and all is okish, still got to keep on top of everything. They did change it to every 3 months for now to keep a closer eye on him.
The Allotments are starting to give up their good stuff now. Hubby ,dude and Iris work hard to keep them going and go every day to water and maintain the both of them.
Fern and i have been busy in the kitchen, we have made cakes and popped them in the freezer. We also made some delicious Strawberry and Rhubarb pie filling.
Rhubarb crumble filling. The Strawberries are coming fast and they are sweet and juicy.
Iris had some for her breakfast.
We made Crumble mix and will store it in the fridge and bake a fresh Rhubarb crumble for pudding when more comes home.
We have also spent a few afternoons painting the window sills and doorsteps, we just got them done and it chucked it down the next day.
At the moment we are on top of everything and don't spend unless we have too. The only thing we bought this week was toilet rolls. We are making the most of the cooler weather and getting jobs done in and out the house. We had a relaxing week off school but it is back to the grind tomorrow, poor Iris.
I did spend about 40 minutes of my life that i will never get back on the phone to Child Benefit, 35 minutes on hold and quick 5 minute update of info and done.
I have been re-arranging bits and bobs and tidying up things that are either in the way or not needed anymore, we filled 2 charity bags with clothes and shoes to be collected . My wardrobe looks bigger and i have what i need at hand. I love to change things around , it just gives the house a quick refresh all for free.
I hope that you are all ok and enjoying the nice weather.
