Hello May.

 

Hello everyone , how are you all on this a most glorious morning?

    It is the 1st of May..wow i cannot believe how quickly the year is going. Honestly it seems moments ago that is was Christmas and chilly. It is so beautiful outside, birds singing, fish doing the do again, all the little bees being busy going to and from the flowers that decided to open, total bliss. But unfairly to hot for my husband to be out in it, even with the Factor 50 sun cream he has to be careful and stay in the shade at all times.

I was up early and got my laundry all done and on the line by just gone 8.30. Hubby and the kiddos went to the  allotments to  weed and water all the plants that are going to need it today.

Fern and i decided to have a go at the Greek yogurt dough and made a small round loaf. It is so easy and quick to do and very versatile, i made a loaf but you can use it for flatbreads, rolls, pizza bases ,all sorts of things. 

It very nice and will be lovely with some butter and jam . Quite possibly the easiest dough i have ever made and you can make it in batches and freeze, just let it thaw out over night, simple and i do love simple.

We all went to Aldi yesterday and did a Pantry restock, tinned food and packets. I had to re arrange my Pantry the day before to tidy it up, it had gotten untidy and stuff just chucked in and left, so it took us a few hours to tidy and clean it up, it looks much better and i have gained space by getting rid of stuff that for some reason we have been holding on to. My shelves were wiped down and re arranged so the stuff i rarely use is on the top and bits i use daily are easy to reach, i am not the tallest person in the world and i do have to use a step up to be to reach some if it.

Whilst at Aldi i found these..Scent boosters for your laundry. They are so expensive every where else but £2.49 wasn't too bad i thought. I have used them this morning and i did not follow their instruction to use 1/4 of a cap in the wash, i just covered the bottom of the cap and i can smell my washing on the line whilst sat  here in the dining room, i think if i had followed instructions it would have been overwhelming and also i would run out pretty quickly, but saying that it does smell nice and i will definitely try the other scents next time.

Does anyone else use scent booster and which ones are the best value for money and have a nice fragrance?

My lovely daughter Fionna had a clear out of bits and bobs the other week and gave me this absolutely stunning little lamp, i knew straight away where i wanted to put it. 

It looks so beautiful . I do love it when the older girls have clear outs.

Guess who is back? Yep The Slim Shady of the Heron world.

He totally ignored me trying to shoo him off, little tinker. But i did make a loud noise in the end and he went, my fish are safe in their little kingdom as he can't get through the netting thankfully.

And then this one totally scared the crap out of me and i am leaving it well alone.

Some kind of spider, with a white marking on it, it is so fast and in a spot where i cannot reach , not that i want to, but i see it all the time in the back porch roof . I am leaving it alone.
