Hello February

 

Hello everyone, how are you?

Well we made it through the longest year known as January. We have some plans for this month that involve spending a little money but not too much i hope. 

The growing season is upon us and hubby has already set his Onions seeds in the greenhouse and we have looked at buying our Seed Potato ready to chit. The seed tin has been gone through and plans made as to what we actually want to grow and how much. The Allotments are too wet to start anything at the moment so my lovely genius husband is restoring a beautiful Wolsley Super Major Rotovator, its going well and it will be working on the allotments before we know it, the time is spent mostly waiting for parts to arrive and then i think some suppliers idea of genuine parts is a little far fetched so annoying especially when you have researched and spent money only for them to arrive and it doesn't fit that particular machine well its bloody infuriating actually. I have come to the decision that from now on if it doesn't fit or work we are sending it back and getting refunds instead of thinking we can use it on another machine or engine.

I have 4 birthdays this month and i will be buying some gifts and sticking within budget for them. I am also making a cake for one of them, i did splurge on cake frosting and some new candles as mine are decades old and looking a bit worse for wear. 

I have been using up the food in my freezer that is leftover form Christmas (think i bought too much). I tried an experiment and made myself some Home made Cauliflower cheese. I love this but at nearly £3 a bag its extortionate. So i bought a bag of frozen Cauliflower £1 and a cheese sauce mix 35p , beautiful and cheesy , this way i can make as much or as little as i want. I also did some Pigs in Blankets with Lincolnshire Sausages and smoked bacon..these were big and they disappeared at lunch time pretty fast, they will now be added to my menu . 

My son brought me flowers that were going to be binned and i made 2 nice bunches out of them.

I think that my Fern has found her thing, we all have a thing we are good at ,its just finding that passion for it and boy has she found it. Look at this , all lovingly made by her own hands.

I wish i could Crochet like this.

That's all for now i am off to chill out and watch a film with hubster.
