All fixed..
Hello everyone , how are you today?
Good news my boiler is fixed and chugging away in this cold snap we are having. I couldn't believe the snow..i still get all excited about it falling but the reality as a grown up is worrying how hubby will get to work and back in one piece.
In the back garden yesterday morning. You can see the netting that covers our pond has collapsed under the weight but it will pop back up (i hope).
I have had the heating on every day twice a day..my husband feels the cold now more than ever, we are not sure if its the Cancer he has that makes him feel it more or his medication either way we refuse to sit in a cold home. We have worked too darn hard to pay our bills so the heating is on. We have faux fur throws in the living room and flannelette bedding with the nice thick Teddy Bear fleece duvet covers and the man is still cold plus an electric blanket. Poor chap . I should say everyone has these as well on their beds.
So before the Snow arrived the girls and i went to a Christmas Fair at the local church. Absolutely lovely, lots of people and coffee and mince pies were being served as well. We all had a good look around and found the Bric a Brac table and had a field day.
I got this amazing jar for £4..it should have been more but the lady noticed a tiny chip on the edge and halved the price..its absolutely perfect for Christmas. I am going to fill it with sweets and chocolate. The glass is for size comparison.
Iris got a bargain as well , she loves Pearls and we found these in a box 50p for both, they needed a clean but aren't they gorgeous.
Fern also hit the jackpot and got herself some rather large Knitting Needles for 50p. Needless to say we had a good time and everyone came home happy.
I was up early the other morning and caught a glimpse of the full moon in all its glory.
It actually looked far better than my phone captured.
So now our main focus is Christmas. We have 3 more birthdays to celebrate before that but we have been good and those gifts have already been purchased and put away.
We have been steadily buying gifts for Christmas since June time. We have that almost done now just one or two more items and we are done with gift shopping. We used to do this years ago but we stopped and i have to admit i did not enjoy the rush of buying and getting everything wrapped in a month, we both agreed that buying throughout the year is far better and we started it again a few years ago. Now i can take my time wrapping and just enjoy the total vibe of Christmas. Food wise well we have been buying extra as well and putting it away in my Food Stash . This is something i have done for years. I buy extra biscuits, crisps, pop and then when it starts to appear in the shops chocolates and cakes as well. I have jars of Branston, Pickled Onions, Cranberry Sauce and Goose Fat . Plus their will be extras like Pringles and snacky items. I have almost £50 on my Asda savers card and that will go towards a frozen food shop and anything else i think we might need. And to be honest folks that's our Christmas done. I have bought a few new items for Christmas such as these glasses. 80p each and bought with my online shop.
I have 5 now so one each..i also treated myself as it has been a rough month.Yep i went to The Range and had some retail therapy. Plus hubby treated me to the canvas picture that lights up in the windows and street light. Its so cute.
So that's all for now folks. I hope that you are all well and keeping yourselves warm and cozy.
Love FTM🌺
I love that bargain glass pot- it's going to look lovely filled with chocolates - I failed to notice the chip. It's good to be organised- we put up our outdoor lights last weekend - ready for 1st Dec - just as well as we've got 6 inches of snow now!! I'm a big fan of snow - I find it really exciting when it starts snowing!!
