July is here..

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?

It has been a busy June for us. The weather finally played ball and we caught up on the allotments and some biggish jobs around the garden.

Hubby and i put a new roof on a garden shed. We had the felt and wooden board for the shed for quite a while, we have just had to wait for some nice decent weather to do it. Firstly it was to wet then too hot then we had some inbetween weather and thought sod it we have to do it otherwise it will never get done. The shed has been sorted out and mended where it needed it and also a nice new coat of paint. We also fixed a fence panel and trimmed all the hedges. All the flowers we have grown are planted around the garden and we have put Tomato and Cucumber plants around the pond so they can grow up and over the netting, they seem to like it so far. Our Potato pots are bushing up well and we have flowers on the plants so fingers crossed we will have some lovely New Potatoes soon.

The allotments are all caught up and all the veggies are now growing nicely, slightly behind but we have our fingers and toes crossed that they all come good when we have to harvest it all.

The Strawberries have arrived in one big glut. I have made Jam and flans and fruit salads until we are fed up with Strawberries.

We also had some Rhubarb and that was quickly turned into 4 jars of Jam as well. It is stored nicely in my back Pantry.

Last month was a busy one for Celebrations, not only Father's Day but it was also our 38th Wedding Anniversary. I dug out a wedding pic. Can't believe i got so lucky by marrying this gorgeous man.
It was also my birthday and i got totally spoilt with gifts and a gorgeous cake from daughter Fionna..i added the strawberries.

We treated ourselves to a day out at the Lincolnshire Show. Expensive but worth it . After the last year we have had we deserve a few treats .The day was a bit over cast and for us that was perfect. It wasn't as busy as we thought and we could see everything and get up close and personal with the livestock which i must admit i loved and so did the girls. We took a picnic as we did feel the food would be expensive and we were correct. However it was an absolutely brilliant day.

There was so much going on and it was amazingly organized with guides to show you where to park so there was room to get out easily. We all got hand stamps when we left to go have our picnic but we decided to leave earlier than we planned as the traffic was building up and hubby had to go to work that night as well, but all in all it was a great day and we all had a good time.
So that was June and now it's July, honestly where is this year going?
I really hope that you are all well and enjoying the summer such as it is.
Love to you all
FTM🌼
