Honey Waffle recipe
Good morning everyone, how are you today?
Its a beautiful morning and i am finally going to sand down the rocking chair.
So as requested here is the recipe
Honey Waffles
150g soft butter
3 eggs
270g plain flour
200g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 litre of milk
6 tbsp honey
1 pinch of salt
Close and heat the waffle iron
Stir the butter , honey eggs and salt to a foamy batter. We used the hand held mixer for this.
Stir in the milk , then the sugar , flour and baking powder.
Mix well to remove lumps if any.
Place about 3 tbsps of batter on the iron in the middle, spread it if you need to.. This wasn't enough to cover our base so i did a little extra.
Cover and cook for 3 minutes..depending on the waffle iron you have.
It made about 9 large waffles for us.
Dust with icing sugar.
We froze ours and Iris had some for breakfast this morning..about 1 minute from frozen in the microwave but i should think defrosted it will be less.
She totally enjoyed them and they smelt like heaven.
She ate them plain with no topping as they are sweet enough.
Hope you enjoy them.
take care
