Busy as a Bee..

Hello everyone , how are you all?

Its our busy time here at Flowertot Mansion..both allotments are now in full swing and hubby ,son and youngest daughter go daily to keep it going and growing. That depends on the weather but if it rains then there are plenty of bits to do at home.
Dealing with the cost of everything going up is very worrying and i know that it is going to depress a lot of folks and now is the time for the Government to just do something, anything to make people feel that we matter and that they have our backs. I find it infuriating that the only time you become important to the Government is
1, paying your Tax and National Insurance
2, they want your bloody vote.
Despite all the current Government has done during the Pandemic they have just ruined us as a country.
We are now a laughing stock..they can have parties, drinks, abuse staff and get away with it. If we did that then i suspect we would be in prison or in this day and age just have a fine and a slap on the wrist to not do it again.
I think it will be judgement day in the next elections. People will remember and everyone who lost a loved one and had to attend funerals alone will make their voices heard.
Enough of that i am sick of the lot of them.

On to more important things like how we are doing and coping during this.
Like i said our allotments are in full swing and we have 2 greenhouses full of little plants to either go up there to grow or for the garden here.

These are from last month..but i will find the ones for how it looks now. We had our first Rhubarb crop..lovely with Custard for a quick pudding.

Both greenhouses are totally full of flowers and little veggis growing quietly away.

A sweet Melon..yummy if its anything like the previous ones we have had it will be very sweet and delicious.

Now onto the table where they get hardened off ready to go up a league and eventually the allotments.
This is our Grapevine..hubby has een reading up on its care and watching youtube tutorials..last year we had quite a few bunches but they were tiny grapes however they were super sweet. This year its going to be quality over quantity.

So that is the veggie growing that is definitely going to help us through this crisis.
I am planning on making more jams and chutneys this year and freezing any surplus we have to see us through..never though i would have to say that.
So how are you all doing?
take care
ftm
