Ok exactly where did July go??

Hello all, how are you?
I am so lucky to be married to a smart man..my laptop has been playing up for a while. I was a little worried using it as it kept freezing and losing internet connection half way through trying to shop online. Gave up with it and my hubby came to the rescue and totally redid the laptop. Everything was working well until it did it again..second round of redoing it and a few curse words later it is fixed. We are still not entirely sure what went wrong and why it would not connect to the internet as it changed all the settings . But so glad to say "I am back"...

Things have been quiet here and we have been busy. More pickling and harvesting from the allotments.
Our son has had to go back to work..all change there. No longer will Argos have its own shop on the High Street , now they are going into the Cafe at Sainsbury's. That is all going to be redone and thankfully all Argos staff have kept their jobs..the poor ladies that worked in the Cafe have either been made redundant or given other jobs within the store.
On our job front is seems highly unlikely that my husband will be employed by the end of furlough. We are making the most of his wages whilst they are still coming in..stocking up on groceries and essentials to see us through any financial changes. It maybe hard but i am hoping we have prepared enough for this.

The girls and i have been doing school work on and off..we have talked and decided to keep on teaching throughout the holidays..normally we have a big break and go out and about but not this year, so to stave off boredom its school work and a few new projects for us to get our teeth into.
We have been going out and around for some lovely afternoon walks..i have taken them to places i knew growing up..my old secondary school..which has been demolished and a new housing development was meant to be built on the land. Looks like a meadow with no work being  done on it in the 3 years since the school was knocked down. Such a waste really. The new posh Academy school is totally over subscribed and the poor wee ones have to go to schools out of town, if they had just upgraded the old one then they could have put all the pupils into 2 schools and no sleepless nights for kiddies and parents worrying about the little ones out of town. Makes sense to me but obviously having a new housing estate with more cars and utilities being put in makes sense to owners of the land. I find it baffling to add more and more stress to our already overused sewer systems and roads (potholes the size of which a small child could fall in and never be seen again). The council want these houses but then don't plough any money into maintaining the infra structure of our town. The roads and traffic in the town are horrific on a quiet day. Rant over.

Anyway we have been going on walks and enjoying ourselves.
There are no pictures today folks..my pictures have all been erased unfortunately.

I spent a day moving my living  room around..pulling the furniture out and hoovering behind it..it wasn't that bad. I have washed covers and curtains and dusted the very top of my bookcase..not an easy feat believe me.
I sorted some bits and bobs for grandchildren and we went to drop them off and Iris ended up with some new to her nighties and pj's..all unicorn themed so she was well pleased.

It seems this month has just whizzed by and now its August at this rate it will be Christmas before we know it.
Hope you are all ok and staying safe.
