Frugal fix..

We have had our dining table and chairs for about 12 years now..we bought them from Tesco's when they had a sale on..table and 6 chairs for £150..not bad. We have not had any issues with it at all until a few months ago when the chair legs started to wobble.This was easily fixed with an alum key but then one of the leg bars went completely.
We did think about replacing them but it would be something that would have to wait a while.In the mean time my clever husband spent a few hours in his shed and made a new leg bar from 2 scrap pieces of wood and spent ages turning it to make it fit properly. Now it just needs a quick varnish to match the other wood.
Didn't cost a penny to fix..only time.
