We waited..but it was worth it..

Hello all, how are you?
Well the summer holidays are over and everyone is back to school..except us.
My lovely man has had the week off ..catch up with some important jobs that need doing and also sorting the allotments.
We specifically waited until the holidays were over to go to Belton..its a popular place and you literally can't move its that packed.
The irony is that when we arrived yesterday Fern's old school was there having a day trip😮,what ever happened to school trips being at the end of term for a treat..they had taken over the playground..we avoided the area and went off the grid up to the woods.
We went for miles around the woods and got some amazing pictures..it was a little cooler almost chilly at times but that didn't stop us..we saw some amazing sights and one that is so beautiful..have a look and let me know if you agree.

Now isn't he gorgeous,a white stag..there were three altogether but they split up and ran off ..this one just stood perfectly still so out came the camera..i was praying he wouldn't move and he didn't.
Many years ago there was one massive white stag at Belton..he disappeared a few years ago and i was sad about it as he was magnificent..but i am so glad to see these fellas..means that he sired sons somewhere down the line. We couldn't believe our eyes at first.

So there is our day..we got home to the lovely smell of beef and veg in the slow cooker.Clean plates all around last night.
