Their version and then my version..

Hello all..
Last week a well known clothing company sent me a catalogue..we always look and dream but in all honesty i cannot afford anything in it.
My littlest girl fell in love with this skirt
For me to buy this skirt it will cost me £30..thats a big chunk of our budget.
So i set to and did this..thankfully she loves it and it cost me £1.99
 I bought an Iron on patch off Ebay..popped a little stitch on the edges and it was good to go.

      Hi Cheryl..exactly..she is growing like a little weed and the skirt in all truth will not fit her next year..she loves it so much i reckon its going to wear out lol..

    I used to do that, we got a catalogue and my mother chose things my sister needed, and then I made them... (my sister is 17 yrs younger and I lived at home at the time). I calculated I saved the new sowing machine in about two years, and it took one more year to pay off the serger. But we got fabrics cheaply (my grandmother's neighbour owned a fabric shop!) and during ages one to four/five a girl can go throug so many clothes... (I did sow winter clothing, and they are very expensive if bought new). Pity I don't have that much time anymore...
    But it was fun, and I enjoyed that I could give something to my sister she wanted, if I hadn't done it she wouldn't have had it.
