The not so frugal side of a garden makeover..

Hello all, how are you?
Well our garden work is still ongoing..we have spent money on fence paint and lots of it..the fences are going form Cedar Red to Forest Green..so its going to take some coats of paint to cover it all.
A shed has been moved from the corner of the garden to the end of the greenhouses..whilst we moved it we took the opportunity to get rid of lots of junk and boy did we have some..now the shed is organized and looks amazingly neat. Tools have been hung up and now i am painting the shed..its red but it will be green..i am determined it will be green..its kinda disheartening when you put on the first coat of paint only to see it get sucked into the wood like a sponge..but i am not giving up..it will be green
This is my paint order..7 tins of paint..i did treat myself to new Yard brush and 2 new kneeling pads.

In between schooling and garden and the allotment i have been freezing our Gooseberries.

Our Spring Onions are coming through and also our Cucumbers.The salad trough has now been netted and the lettuces are re-growing .Our Peas are now done in their pots unfortunately,so i have planted more in the back of the salad trough,fingers crossed i will have some before the end of summer.

                                                                                                                                                                    We were given a new small chest freezer which is now in the back place and working really well..this one i am going to use for fruit and veg my larger one is for meat and all the meals i can freeze.

On to more frugal matters..last week i cut my sons hair,sewed on a button that had popped of jeans and also patched up a tiny hole in a t shirt.   

I have also been listing on Ebay..sold a few items as well.

Spent most afternoons with the girls in the garden either working or just reading.    

The weather is just so lovely at the moment..its making the garden make over easier.just the prospect of drought that is worrying.But whatever the weather decides to do it will do and we just have to make sure we conserve water and not waste it.
