As requested..Chocolate Cobbler and Easy Candied Walnuts.

Hello all..i was very nicely asked  by Helen (blimey) to put up the recipes for these..

Chocolate Cobbler.
Ingredients.
1 cup of self raising flour.
3/4 of a cup of sugar..i use granulated
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 a cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Topping
3/4 of a cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of cocoa
1 and 3/4 cup of hot tap water.
1 cup of chopped pecans or whatever nuts you prefer but these are optional.

Method.
Mix together your flour, sugar, cocoa. Add the milk, vanilla, oil and nuts if using them.
Mix it well. Pour into a lightly greased pan or dish.8"x8" is good.
In another bowl mix your brown sugar and cocoa together.
Sprinkle this over the batter mix.
Now do this part very slowly..pour the hot tap water over the dry mixture.
I do it in the corners and very very slowly.
Pop it in the oven for 40-45 minutes..350 oven or gas mark 4.
This is not my recipe but one from this site..

Candied Walnuts.

2 cups of walnuts
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar.

Method..
In a large pan melt the butter on a medium high heat.
Then add the walnuts,sugars.
Mix until the sugar has coated the walnuts.
Continue cooking and stirring for 5 minutes on the medium high heat until all the sugar has dissolved on walnuts.
Remove from heat and pour them onto greaseproof paper. Spread them out and let them cool for at least 10 minutes.
Store the walnuts in sealed container for up to one week.
If they last that long.
