August already!!

Hello all,how are you?
Its the 1st already..wow where did July go..it won't belong until Chtistmas at this rate.

 I can remember singing this little rhyme with my gran at times.

The garden is really filling out ..the new border is looking lush.
Our bedding has all flowered around the pond..
Unfortunately i have no Pears,the Apples are sparse  but Plums are abundant.

I just sometimes sit and wait in the garden for birds to settle..patience is not my greatest virtue at all but i do try..it finally paid off.

Our Grapevine has gone berserk

 The very first Cucumber..i cannot wait to taste it..the tomatoes are starting to ripen..tomato chutney here i come.

At the allotments..we have some failures..our onions have seeded,so have the lettuces and cabbages.
However our fruit crops were amazing..raspberries by the pound also gooseberries and our strawberries were divine..i have frozen quite a lot of them for jam and puddings later in the year.
How is your year going so far with your veggies and fruits.
