My Hallway..decorating on a budget

Earlier on this year i decided to revamp my hallway with not a lot of money..i found a tin of emulsion in the shed and it was still good..i bought 1 roll of wallpaper and a tin of gloss..that was it..
My hallway was originally a pale grey..i know i know, i don't know what i was thinking but i did paint it that colour...it made it look dark no matter how much light was shining.

Inspired by a book i did this..well i say i did this but my husband and son did it for me..i was going to do it myself but they are too gentlemanly to leave me to do it..especially as i had to use a very sharp knife to cut the carpet away from the risers..

I think it looks so good and different.

I bought this huge wall sticker from b&m for £1.99 and carried the whole thing home in the wind and almost took off twice..it was on a huge piece of card and no carrier bag in the world could fit that in it.

The picture frames were all odd colours and i already had a tester pot of Black paint so i painted them all..i think it goes well with the pale wall colour..they stand out really well. There are more pictures at the top of the stairs on both sides.

The lampshades were already there so no cost there.
So for a tin of White Gloss and a roll of wallpaper that is my hallway re-vamp..the book i got it from is truly inspiring.
take care
sara
